From the potato to the watermelon
Our focus is on storage vegetables. What is harvested in summer and autumn stays with us through the winter, from our own cold store.

One of our main storage crops. Fresh from the field in summer and autumn, from the cold store all winter long.

Grown in several varieties and carefully dried after harvest. Well-cured onions see us through the entire winter.

Robust in the field and exceptionally well suited to storage. Beetroot is a classic storage crop and fits our rotation well.

Swiss organic watermelons from Thurgau – a crop that needs a warm summer. Part of the harvest is sold directly.

Cultivation
Skill and technology together
Organic growing demands precision: what grows without herbicides has to be tended mechanically. Modern machinery and an autonomous laser weeding robot make that work possible – the decisions are still made by those who know the field.
Vegetables, cereals and ley grass take turns. That keeps the soil healthy and breaks disease cycles.
Organic matter and gentle cultivation preserve the soil structure and its capacity to hold water.
Modern machines work more accurately, ease the physical load and are kinder to the crop.
Mechanically, by hand – and now with an autonomous laser weeding robot.
Storage and energy
Our cold store holds organic vegetables from our own fields and from the region for months on end. On the roof, 900 m² of photovoltaics generate around 70 per cent of the electricity the cooling requires.
